Tek Spex 3000 Series Progressive Bifocal Readers with Blue Light Blocking Technology

Posted on March 08, 2018 by Lisa Carnes | 0 comments

How Do They Work?

Computer screens emit a high intensity, high frequency blue light which can tire and even damage your eyes. Our Tek Spex 3000 series progressive reading glasses are tinted with special anti-glare and anti-reflective coatings which filter light and block blue light from both natural sunlight and digital devices. They are are custom engineered to block a large spectrum of blue light from your eyes increasing comfort, stamina, and restfulness whenever you read from your devices.

Benefits of Blue Blocking Lenses

The eye is not very good at blocking blue light, which can be harmful when exposed to your eyes for long stretches, increasing the risk of headaches (including migraines), visual distortion, visual stress and fatigue, and wakefulness.

  • RELIEVE DIGITAL EYE STRAIN

Research has shown that lenses which block blue light increase contrast significantly. Glasses with with yellow-tinted lenses increase comfort when you're viewing digital devices for extended periods of time.

  • SLEEP BETTER

Millions of people read on their devices every night to slow down their brains right before bed. However, if you don't have a way to block the high-frequency blue light from entering your eyes, it will often have the effect of increasing the time it takes to fall asleep and shaving precious minutes or even hours from your sleep schedule!

  • ADDED PROTECTION AFTER CATARACT SURGERY

The eye's natural lens blocks some short-wavelength blue light, but when replaced with an artificial lens you lose this natural blocking power. Thus, after cataract surgery you might benefit from eyeglasses that have lenses with a special blue light filter — especially if you spend long hours in front of a computer screen or using other digital devices.

  • REDUCE THE RISK OF MACULAR DEGENERATION

Blue light penetrates all the way to the retina, which is the inner lining of the back of the eye. This is  is important because laboratory studies have shown that too much exposure to blue light can damage light-sensitive cells in the retina. This causes changes that resemble macular degeneration, which can lead to permanent vision loss.

WHY ARE TEK SPEX 3000 SPECIAL?

Tek Spex 3000 series computer glasses not only block blue light, they feature a progressive, multi-focal lens which provides a large field of view, including near, far and in between! Enjoy seeing your entire computer screen clearly. Rimless diamond cut styling is the latest fashion trend and is available EXCLUSIVELY from AlohaEyes.com.

Five Places Men Need Bifocal Sunglasses

Posted on May 08, 2016 by Lisa Carnes | 0 comments

DON'T LET THIS BE YOU!!!

Hey guys, when you wear your sunglasses do you have your reading glasses strung around your neck, or worse yet, in your pocket? Do you need readers to see who’s calling on your cell phone or to read the sports program at the game? Do you find yourself constantly switching back and forth between your sunglasses and your reading glasses? What a hassle! You need bifocal sunglasses. Men’s bifocal sunglasses are reading glasses and sunglasses combined into one. The top portion are regular sunglasses with small bifocal lenses at the bottom so that you can see the fine print when you need to. All with one pair of glasses.

Here are five places you will find that bi-focal sunglasses are indispensable. And gentlemen, be honest. Do any of these scenarios sound familiar to you?

  1. AT THE GOLF COURSE

You’re on the 14th green wearing your sunglasses, you take a swing, and OMG you hit the ball right into the hole for your very first hole in one!!! How exciting for you. You grab your scorecard, but OH NO, you have to squint to see the page… where are those darn readers when you need them? Oh, now you remember you left them back in the car. You have to ask your buddy to write down your score for you. How embarrassing. This would never happen if you had been wearing your bi-focal sunglasses.

  1. ON THE BOAT

Another beautiful day out on the lake. The weather is perfect .You can’t wait to drop a line in the water. You reach into the can of worms and grab a big fat wiggler, but when you go to put him on the hook you stab yourself instead. Dang it! You spend most of the day trying to hook the worm instead of the fish. If only you’d been wearing your polarized bi-focal sunglasses you would have caught the big one by now.

  1. AT THE GAME

It’s a beautiful day to go to the ball game, or the race track, or your favorite sports venue. You grab a seat and get ready to enjoy reading the full-color premium program you just splurged 10 bucks for on the way in. You take off your sunglasses and begin to fumble around looking for your reading glasses and in the process you knock your beer right into your lap and all over the brand-new program! Why didn’t you wear your sun readers??? You could have watched all the action and read the program with one pair of glasses.

  1. WORKING OUTSIDE

You’re finally ready to build that addition on the back patio. You’ve got all your tools ready, you’ve picked up the lumber and the construction plans and you’re ready to go to work. You grab a tape measure and then you realize you left your readers back in the house. You go back in and get them but the glare from the sun is now in your eyes and you and you hope you got the measurement right. You grab a hammer and a nail and bang your finger instead! Oh that hurts. Next time better wear some reading sunglasses.

  1. CHILLAXIN'

You’ve waited all year for this vacation and it’s finally here. You can’t wait to get down to the beach with that book that you been dying to read. You slather on the suntan lotion, put on your reading glasses and open the book, but the sun is reflecting off the page so brightly you have switch back to your sunglasses. Now you can’t read a word. You get a brilliant idea. You slip on your reading glasses and then slyly put your sunglasses right on top of them, hoping no one will notice. It’s pretty uncomfortable wearing two pairs of glasses at once, but at least you can read your book now. You hear laughter and look up as two cute girls pass by. They’re smiling. And whispering. And, OH NO, they’re pointing…. at You! This would never of happened if only…well you get the picture.

COOL GUYS WEAR BIFOCAL SUNGLASSES

By now you get the idea; bifocal sun readers for men are extremely handy for guys who spend a lot of time outdoors. Another benefit is that they are very youthful as well. The reading lenses on most of today’s bi-focal sunglasses are practically invisible so no one but you will know you are wearing reading glasses. Best of all, you’ll never have to wear two pairs of glasses again!
